THE ASPEN MULTI ENERGY SYSTEM™

Facial surgery often results in bruising and swelling, which are typical parts of the healing process. However, these effects can be more pronounced and visible in facial procedures. The Aspen Multi-Energy System™ is designed to minimize these effects and expedite recovery, enhancing the overall appearance post-surgery.

Facial Fibrosis/Firmness Management

  • Complications: Post-surgical issues like excessive swelling, hematomas, seromas, and infections can lead to scarring and fibrosis on the face, characterized by hard, lumpy, bumpy knots.

  • The Aspen Mini-Harmonizer™: This new addition to the Aspen therapy lineup targets fibrosis in the facial area or other small regions. It combines the Aspen Face Therapy protocols to effectively reduce fibrosis, smoothing out the affected areas.

Facial Swelling Reduction

  • Risks: Excessive swelling can lead to complications such as scarring, infections, and potentially open wounds.

  • Aspen Multi-Energy System™ Approach: Utilizing a combination of the Aspen Stimulizer™ and Aspen Illuminizer™, along with specific Aspen Face Therapy protocols, this system significantly reduces facial swelling.

Facial Bruising Treatment

  • Challenges: Bruising can increase bacterial content, leading to infections and delayed healing.

  • The Aspen Illuminizer™: This device employs LED Light spectrum energy to enhance circulation, dissipate bruising, and boost collagen production. These physiological changes play a critical role in healing facial bruises efficiently.

Nerve Damage Recovery

  • Research and Benefits: Studies have shown the positive effects of The Aspen Illuminizer™ on nerve regeneration, whether it’s for facial procedures, breast incisions, tummy tucks, or peripheral nerve damage. This system aids in restoring motor functions and sensation, facilitating quicker and more effective nerve recovery.

FOR BREASTS

CAPSULAR CONTRACTURE PREVENTION

Aspen Therapy offers a proactive approach for patients undergoing primary breast augmentation, aimed at preventing Capsular Contracture, a condition with a high recurrence rate of up to 70%. This innovative therapy is beneficial not only for revision surgeries but also as a preventive measure after the initial augmentation procedure.

WHAT IS CAPSULAR  CONTRACTURE?

This condition, which can affect those with breast implants post-reconstruction or augmentation, involves hardening and constriction of the breast implant capsule, leading to pain, firmness, and distorted breast appearance. It's caused by the body's natural response to foreign objects, like implants, and can be triggered by trauma, infection, hematoma, seroma, smoking, or radiation treatment.

Signs and Symptom

  • Pain

  • Firmness

  • implant malposition

  • Distorted shape

BREAST CANCER, MASTECTOMY AND RECONSTRUCTION

Women dealing with breast cancer often undergo mastectomies followed by breast reconstructions. Radiation treatment, a common part of cancer management, can adversely affect breast reconstruction, leading to complications like skin hardness, scarring, and tightening, limited range of motion (ROM) in the arm, hardening of the breast implant, misshapen breasts, and pain in the breast, chest, and shoulder areas.

LYMPHEDEMA

Post-surgical lymph node removal can lead to Lymphedema, characterized by arm swelling due to impaired fluid movement. This condition requires lifelong vigilance.

Aspen Therapy aids in breast reconstruction by addressing complications such as skin hardness, scarring, and tightness, as well as limited range of motion in the arm due to radiation treatment. It also helps manage hardening of breast implant prostheses caused by capsular contracture and can improve misshapen or oddly positioned breast appearances. The treatment takes into account the changes in blood supply post-mastectomy and reconstruction, ensuring careful management to promote effective healing

KEY ASPECTS OF ASPEN THERAPY FOR PREVENTION

Early Intervention

Aspen Therapy starts as early as two weeks post-operatively, offering timely intervention in the healing process. This early start is crucial for effective prevention.

Biological and Mechanical Approach

The therapy targets both the biological and mechanical aspects of the capsule formed around the breast implant. By addressing these factors early after surgery, Aspen Therapy helps in preventing the capsule from contracting.

Phonophoresis Process

Utilizing antibiotics in conjunction with external ultrasound, Aspen Therapy employs a phonophoresis process. This technique pushes the antibiotic deep into the tissue layers, targeting the biofilm. Research shows that this combination can hinder biofilm replication and create an aerobic environment, enhancing the effectiveness of the antibiotic.

Mechanical Deformation of Capsule

The therapy includes slow, low-load mechanical deformation of the capsule's histological structure. This pre-stretching encourages the capsule myofibroblasts to elongate in their early stages, which is crucial in preventing the development of Capsular Contracture. This approach helps avoid the typical issues associated with this condition, such as upward, high-appearing, and asymmetrical breast implants.
