How do I trust that you are recommending the correct plan, treatments, and skincare?

Trust uses the state of the art technology to examine the skin on a deeper level. Introducing the Visia! The Visia is the most advanced skin analysis system that utilizes a software and a camera to digitally capture skin type classification, refined facial feature detection and much more!

What can I expect?

Prior to any treatment a Medical Aesthetician will go over your skin goals and medical history. For efficacy and accuracy the photos will be taken on freshly cleansed skin with no eye make-up (if you come with make-up, no worries we have you covered)! After, the Medical Aesthetician will position your chin and forehead into the Visia; with your eyes shut there will be three flashes to easily capture right, left and frontal facial views.

How does it work?

The VISIA allows your skin therapist to examine your skin in detail. The VISIA uses a multi-directional locating system and live image overlay to make it easy to capture perfectly registered images that track your improvement over time. The Visia uses IntelliFlashTM, cross-polarized and UV light to measure and document surface and subsurface conditions. UV photography delivers the most comprehensive data available for sun damage calculation and breakdown, including UV fluorescence imaging to uncover porphyrins (main cause of acne). The Visia also utilizes Canfield's RBX® Technology to separate the unique colour signs of red and brown. This is important because it can clearly distinguish between different skin concerns that are a result of colour concentration.

What exactly does it scan for?

The Visia can visually analyze and quantify: Spots: Spots are typically brown/red skin lesions consisting of freckles, acne scars, hyper-pigmentation and vascular lesions. Spots are distinguishable by their distinct color and contrast from the background skin tone. Spots vary in size and generally have a circular shape. Pores: Pores are the circular surface openings of sweat gland ducts. From shadowing, pores appear darker than the surrounding skin tone and are identified by their darker color and circular shape. The VISIA system distinguishes pores from spots based on size; the area of a pore is much smaller than a spot. Wrinkles: Wrinkles are furrows, folds or creases in the skin, which increase as a result of sun exposure, and are linked to declining skin elasticity. This skin feature has the greatest variability from image to image as it is highly dependent upon the facial expression of the client. Wrinkles are identified by their characteristic long, narrow shape. Texture: Texture is primarily an analysis of skin smoothness. Texture measures skin color and smoothness by identifying gradations in color from the surrounding skin tone, as well as peaks and valleys on the skin surface that show variations in the surface texture Porphyrins: Porphyrins are bacterial excretions that can become lodged in pores and lead to acne. Porphyrins fluoresce in UV light and exhibit circular white spot characteristics UV Spots: UV spots occur when melanin coagulates below the skin surface due to sun damage. UV spots are generally invisible under normal lighting conditions. The selective absorption of the UV light by the epidermal melanin enhances its display and detection by VISIA Red Areas: Red Areas represent a potential variety of conditions, such as acne, inflammation, Rosacea or spider veins. Blood vessels and hemoglobin contained in the papillary dermis, a sub-layer of skin, give these structures their red color. Acne spots and inflammation vary in size but are generally round in shape. Rosacea is usually larger and diffused compared to acne. Spider veins are short, thin and can be interconnected in a dense network. Brown spots: Brown Spots are lesions on the skin such as hyper-pigmentation, freckles, lentigines, and melasma. Brown Spots occur from an excess of Melanin. Brown Spots produce an uneven appearance to the skin, and are detected in VISIA by RBX. Injectable simulation: the injectable simulation may be applied to the degree desired for each region to simulate treatments. You can see a plan prior to your treatment (results may vary). Aging simulation: Simulate how clients might appear from ages 18-80 years old TRUSKIN AGER: Predicts the patient's overall skin condition and age, providing a revolutionary new metric to guide the selection of skin care products and treatment options. Eyelash Analysis: Evaluates lash length and thickness 3D Skin Assessment: Visualize the skin's surface in three dimensions from any angle

How much does it cost?

The skin analysis is complementary with purchase of a treatment, each client is allotted THREE VISIA CREDITS per year. If you would like to only have a skin analysis you will be charged $50. Within one week after your skin analysis and would like to purchase a skin treatment the $50 will be credited towards your desired/recommended treatment.
